TurkeyCoach was founded in 2012 by Ahmet Yılmaz, a former corporate executive who recognized a significant gap in the Turkish business landscape: small and medium businesses were lacking access to world-class coaching methodologies tailored to the unique challenges of the Turkish market.
After spending 15 years in multinational corporations across Europe and the Middle East, Ahmet returned to his native Turkey with a vision to empower local entrepreneurs with the tools and strategies that had proven successful globally, but adapted to the Turkish business context.
Our journey began in Istanbul with a small team of three coaches focusing primarily on retail businesses. As word spread about our specialized approach and measurable results, we expanded to serve businesses in Ankara, Izmir, and other major Turkish cities. By 2015, our client base had grown to include manufacturing, technology, hospitality, and professional service businesses.
A pivotal moment in our company's history came in 2018 when we partnered with Istanbul University's Business School to develop research-based coaching frameworks specifically designed for the Turkish business environment. This collaboration allowed us to refine our methodologies based on data from hundreds of Turkish businesses, making our approach even more effective.
